Mobile Task Force Beta-7 specializes in the acquisition and containment of anomalies exhibiting extreme biological, chemical, or radiological hazards as well as the rapid containment and cleanup of areas affected by such anomalies. This includes the planning and deployment of contingencies for wide-area or pandemic spread of anomalous disease agents or other contagious phenomena.[1]
Storyline[]
Operation Clean Out[]
A Beta-7 squad is deployed on a mountainside near a side entrance to Site-17. The squad, consisting of 1-12 operators, is tasked with cleaning up the SCP-008 infection spread by the CI after the events in Operation Black Nightmare. The squad must search for any remaining survivors from the initial CI assault of the site that have not succumbed to the infection yet, and eliminate any infected personnel and remaining CI forces.
After entering the facility via a side entrance, the player will encounter spore like growths that slows the player down. These spores can be destroyed be shooting them twice with either the assault rifle or the pistol.
As the player progresses through the facility, the player will encounter a second survivor and the first infected variant of the infected. This variant is taller than standard infected, has more health than normal and has an acid spit attack. An ammo box can also be found nearby.
After clearing the hallway and progressing further into the facility, the players will encounter a shared vision of what seems to be a squad leader stuck in an ice cave. The squad leader mentions that the entire squad has been killed by an entity unknown at this time, and tries to call for help on their radio. When this fails, the squad leader throws the radio across the cave and faints after a few voicelines.
After clearing the entire mission, a final cutscene will play where the squad members discuss the vision they had. Overwatch then instructs the squad to go for a psychological evaluation after returning, and to refrain from speaking about the vision before leaving.
